Why We Drink

Welcome to Fixture Studio’s blog playfully titled:  “Why we drink.”  We are delighted to welcome you behind the scenes of what happens at our fun, quirky and passionate company. At its core, Fixture Studio is a design company.  Whether we are designing your interior, planning or building the home of your dreams, renovating an existing space, or helping you plan a vacation, we believe that it all starts with great, thoughtful and detailed design.  We are deeply passionate and committed to the belief that functional and comfortable design makes a fundamental difference in the lives of our clients.

If designing, building and renovating wasn’t enough to make us drink, we also have a Stay division that sets us apart. We are equally passionate about Western Colorado, and we want others to love their experience in the Grand Valley, enticing them to return again and again.  

You’ve no-doubtedly heard the phrase:  “Don’t sweat the small stuff.”  We have come to appreciate this saying is truly more than a kitschy cliche. When it comes to design, renovations, builds and unparalleled stays, the difference between a good outcome and an amazing outcome is, in fact, sweating the small stuff…perhaps even neurotically obsessing over it.  And it really is ALL small stuff.  

Now mash that neurotic obsession up against the construction process which has a thousand moving parts, many of which are out of our control.  It’s an environment that is often messy, chaotic and full of surprises.  To successfully navigate this environment requires an extreme degree of creativity, flexibility and expertise.  But it’s also an environment we love – and dare say – thrive in, even though it can make our eyes twitch at times.  Thus, “why we drink!”

It’s a fun and wild ride.  One full of twists, turns, blood (not much), sweat, tears, and as is always with us…a really healthy dose of laughter.  There is nothing we love to do more than to bring our clients’ plans to life.  So if you have plans, we invite you to join us on this journey.  In the meantime, pour yourself a refreshing drink, sit back, relax and enjoy the front row seat into our world.
