"Change is hard at first, messy in the middle, and gorgeous at the end."
– Robin Sharma
As Thanksgiving approaches, I reflect on my longstanding tradition of sharing my heart with those I’m most grateful for, and I’m honored to continue this with all of you at Fixture Studio.
This year, my thoughts are centered on new beginnings. Some new beginnings are the result of deliberate choices—like Jami and me deciding to move to Grand Junction and start a new chapter with Fixture Studio. Others arrive uninvited, forcing us into change. Regardless of how they come, every new beginning brings with it an opportunity: the chance to choose how we respond, to shape our path forward.
For us, these past two years have been a mix of all of it—hard, messy, and, yes, full of moments that show just how gorgeous this journey can become. Leaving behind a well-established life in Omaha wasn’t easy. Building new friendships, adapting to a new career, and navigating the unknown have stretched us in ways we never imagined. But for all the challenges, we’ve also experienced incredible blessings.
We’ve learned so much—not just about business, but about resilience, teamwork, and the power of showing up every day with purpose. We’ve made wonderful new friends and have found a community here that we’re so proud to be part of. And we’ve been blessed with all of you—an incredible team whose dedication, creativity, and support make this journey not just bearable, but meaningful.
Even though we’re still very much in the “messy middle,” we see so much evidence of the gorgeous end ahead. Your commitment to excellence, the way you’ve welcomed us, and the culture you help create every day are all reasons for optimism and gratitude. You remind us that even in the hardest moments, there is beauty to be found—and so much to be grateful for.
This Thanksgiving, my wish for each of you is that you find gratitude in your own new beginnings, however they came to be. May you lean on the support of your team here at Fixture Studio and see the blessings in your journey, no matter how messy the middle might feel.
Jami and I are deeply grateful for each of you and all that you bring to Fixture Studio. You make this chapter of our lives not just a new beginning, but one filled with promise and joy.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your loved ones. Let’s keep pushing through the mess, because the gorgeous end is well worth it.
With gratitude,
Jeff & Jami
