Who We Are

Welcome to fixturestudio.com, the gathering of our ever growing opportunities to Design.Create.Host from our home town in Western Colorado. Steve’s and my passion is to serve and create with sustainability and gratitude as our foundation. As each year passes we have come to realize that when we dream big, big things can happen!

In 2013, Fixture Studio began as a vacation rental business. We started with renting our own house to someone who needed a place while shopping for homes in Grand Junction. We quickly realized there was a void to be filled in this area, so we took the income from that rental and bought a second home as a vacation rental. For the next 5 years both of those homes were booked almost every weekend! This led to managing friend’s rentals and from there it blossomed organically. Today we manage over 15 properties in Western Colorado and beyond.

The growing of our business and children allowed me to start getting back to my roots of working in design and livable space planning. In 2016, Steve made the jump to join me in our venture together by building custom furniture, designing spaces and managing real estate investments.

Six years later we are busy working alongside each other managing multiple vacation rentals, building reclaimed furniture, and designing entire homes! We believe that everyone is worthy of good design and we know we have just scratched the surface of what we can bring to this incredible valley we call home. We look forward to what we can Design. Create. Host (for) you!

Steve Lentz - Owner + Chief Executive Officer

Steve grew up in Montrose, CO and studied Recording Arts in California. After getting married he and Amy moved to Grand Junction and flipped real estate, remodeling multiple houses until 2008 when he changed careers and served our community as a police officer for seven years.  In 2016, he quit his day job (read: night job) to manage real estate investments, build custom furniture and design spaces with Amy.

Steve is passionate about scale, storage and lighting. An artisan woodworker, no stranger to style. He is well known for his unique blend of modern edge and rustic, southwestern artifacts reclaimed from the sprawling landscape of Colorado’s Western Slope. Perfect for everyday living or high-end retail, Steve’s craftsmanship is at home in either Grand Junction or on 5th Avenue.
