We purchased this 1940's cottage in March of 2014 with the intention to update it and offer it as a vacation rental to the Grand Junction market. The cedar shake siding, original Art-Deco door hardware and beveled hardwood floors lured us in. The house had been cared for well over the years but still needed a few months of remodel and love. We painted every room, installed new carpet and opened the kitchen up to the dining area. We listed it as a vacation rental in July of 2014 and we've been getting rave reviews ever since.
